Anna and I took the $100 tour to 2I3 today for lunch. It is a delightful small resort just right for the limited income pilot.

The day began with clear skies and quite cold temperatures. We enjoyed the flight over the Cumberland escarpment, adjacent to the

TVA windmills, Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area and the snow covered farms in western Kentucky. We had a 10 to 15 knot wind out of the east, which gave us a ground speed of 120 knots for half the trip. As we went further NE snow became more evident.

The approach is unrestricted and the airport equipment is as good as Oneida generally. VASI on runway 20 and runway lights. We had a nice arrival and parked quickly near the office of the airport. Unfortunately the parking area nearest to the FBO has no rope on

the tie down rings. As we walked through the breezeway of the office we noticed that the park office had sent a van to pick us up. Although it is only a 300 yard walk, we enjoyed the warmth of the van versus the wind of the open areas we would have traversed.

The buffet is $11.95 which includes two carved meats, two more self serve meats, 4-6 vegetables, two breads, drink of choice, and dessert. Lunch is served at 11:30 CST except Sunday when it is at 12:00 CST.

The dining room looks toward the lake and is nicely appointed. The SP also has a nice conference center, golf course and miniature golf.

A group flight would be the most fun for dining there. The tie down is about 300 yards from the main lodge. Fuel was $2.70 per gallon. Attached are a few shots from the trip
